Crabby

No...not me!
I am having the time of my life.

No drive through the Eastern shore would be complete without indulging in the delicacy the region is known for.
Crabs.

We've had our fill of crab imperial, crab omelets, crab dip, crap stuffed flounder, crab topped potato skins...

{side note:  I think my grandsons need these chairs}

..and then it was back on the bike heading north.
Seemed like a good direction to go since we had come from the south, the west would have put us in the Bay and the east would have landed us in the Atlantic Ocean.
So north we went past the most interesting lighthouse.

and scenes of the real world we live in.

Not a bad shot from the back of the bike at crusing speed?

We headed inland just cruising away

 and found ourselves
hunckered down in Gettysburg, PA for a good nights rest.

 800 miles and counting...

You must be having the BEST time...I am a bit jealous. I would like to be the one on the back of the bike :-)
Thanks for your sweet words about Nanalou's rose. She was a teacher for years and hubby taught at VMI. He died, she stayed in the big old house in the country, and then decided to move into one of the pats at Kendal. I drive up her driveway on the way home every now and then on my way home from school and check on her roses. They are just there ....all alone. They are about gone for this year, but I hope to get a couple more photos. The house has not sold and it is so sad sitting there all empty. One time I will take a picture of the old place. It is so neat. genie
