Last Day

One last outing before my little loves head back to California.
A trip into DC to see Seasons Greetings at the United States Botanical Gardens.

A delightful display of trains,

rolling through an Enchanted Forest complete with fairy houses,

A very clever sniffing garden,

Replicas of the iconic Washington landmarks made from natural elements like twigs, branches, bark, leaves, pods and such.

The boys were fascinated as was the Marme.

A perfect end to a most pleasant visit.

looks like a great place to end their trip. Love B's expression. Lots of great memories to keep you going until next you see them

Wouldn't want to look after all those poinsettia, they would be dead within a week. I am hopeless with them.

I cannot believe my eyes, Joan. Twigs....and these wonderful replicas...I guess when you have the taxpayers' money, you can create most anything. I am definitely OK with these. Wish I had been there with y'all. I am determined to get to Longwood Gardens in Philly this Christmas. Every year when I go up to Chestertown for C'mas Day and the 2 days after, we say we are going....but either the weather or something else interferes with the plan. I have some strong determination this year. Loved all of your pictures. The grandchildren are precious. Take care. genie
