The In-Laws came to Visit

Or more aptly titled:
Boys are Never to Old (or young) for Toys.
Opa had been making compost for me ever since we bought our farm. With a nice spring day and a willing grandson to help load and drive, he and Oma showed up with a pickup truck full of the rich brown matter that will help me grow lots of good veggies.

But not just any pick up truck.

Years ago, Opa had the bed of his truck converted to a dump truck.

Just because.

I think I heard him giggling as Joey worked the controls of the bed.

Opa loves his toys.

Then it was time to mix that lovely compost in, so Fritz could play with his toys too.

My garden and I are very grateful

Meanwhile, Oma and I visited in the house.

She declared my kitchen a 'friendly' place.
It was the best compliment ever.

Happy smiles all around.

The littlest of the boys in this family ...my grandsons...have their toy waiting for them too.

Complete with training wheels.

Lots of humor in this post and evidence of a great visit. You have your own Hardway Construction Company--what I always call a group of guys working on a project where the aim is to use all their toys, not necessarily finish the job! :-)

I am carefully not showing my husband the amazing dumping truck. He has enough trouble with whether or not to buy a Landrover! And in the later post what totally amazing blossom! We are cautiously moving into Spring here in North Wales after the worst snow fall in living memory. I think the blossom might have to wait for a few weeks!
