Shepherdess in Training

I have been here, doing this,
and working undercover in the barn to learn all I could.

They loved me....it had nothing at all to do with box of cookies I was holding. Really. Maybe.

With many thanks to thecrazysheeplady,
Who turns out to not be crazy at all, but warm and kind and fun and oh so wonderful a mentor and friend.

Sara squeezed her vast knowledge into my brain as fast as she could,

and gave me the courage and will to say Yes to the Sheep.

Sheep are coming to Lindenberry.
Soon.
Thank you Sara.
Thank you.

That first picture is a CLASSIC! I see you buddy Daniel is close by your side. Our sheep have good taste - in friends and cookies :-). So glad you enjoyed your visit!

Wow it looks like you had a fun time. I will look forward to seeing your flock and the resultant yarn in due course.

I'm pleased shepherdesses don't wear crinolines and have little crooks any more. It looks like you enjoyed yourself, and of course it was you they loved, not the cookies.

What a lovely time! Well, I would have loved it anyway. I'm certain, that you will share your newly acquired knowledge with us as you grow with your new flock. This will be great fun!

How exciting to be adding sheep! One of our daughters has some. I must say that they are really excited when someone gives them treats.:)

Fantastic! Can I come visit them when you bring them home? I want to have sheep on our farm too, but I am not sure I can handle them.

Hello Joan,
I found you via Sara's blog, and since I referenced you in my comment yesterday I thought I'd pop over and "visit" your blog!

I am positively some shade of green with envy reading about your visit to Sara's farm! I love the pictures you've posted here. Visiting her farm is absolutely one of the three things at the top of my bucket list of my life. It is a dream that keeps me going, day in and day out.

I am so looking forward to reading your blog and getting to "know you"! I, like you, have an empty nest (one son, age 35). Unfortunately, I don't wonder what to do with the rest of my life (referencing your bio!), as I became permanently disabled in 1999 and am severely restricted in my activities. But I am a "glass half full" kind of gal, and drive those around me nuts with my extreme optimistism!

Warm Regards, Lisa Smith
