Farm Name?

Our poor little homestead is still nameless. Recently, I asked my young adult kiddos for some more ideas for a farm name that were unique to us as a family. Something sentimental. Something that speaks to the beauty and serenity of this place in the country that I love so much. Something that evokes an image of pastoral peace.

Here are just a few of their ever quick witted responses:

Whiskey Ridge
Fritz's Beer Barn
Knit One, Raised 4, Drank 9

Belevebeer Plantation. The Drunkin Patch.

Well, at the least the last is somewhat sentimental. Our longstanding Halloween tradition is to go to the Pumpkin patch at Belvedere Plantation Farms.

Honestly, I have no idea why my offspring think that partaking of the spirits is synonymous with the farm.

I'm giggling.... this post is very funny. :-)

You'll find something... that's perfect. :-)

Hubba came up with our name. I was telling him about something I had seen, then he threw out the name. I thought he had heard me wrong. I imagine it was funny to watch us name our farm in the middle of the clothing area of the department store. LOL.

You can order the Country Weekend Entertaining Cookbook directly from Anna Pump at this website - There is her first cookbook shown in the picture -- click on "get your copy now" and it will take you to her cookbooks for sale page (she has more than just this one) -- she had it reprinted and it sells for only $22 -- until she did that, copies on the secondary market were going for hundreds!!!! But I wouldn't part with mine even for "hundreds"!!!!

Thanks for visiting Linderhof!

Now that's a fun collage! Looks like a fun farm too (but don't call it the funny farm!) Enjoyed this post and your blog! Good Luck with the name!

My kids would say the same things if I were naming a farm. Gosh... and they're so RIGHT! I had a most lovely cocktail in San Francisco last week. El Presidente. Try it, Marme!
