i always loved cutting up apples each fall w/ my mom in wis. we'd freeze a bunch of slices for crisps and pies and also make applesauce (my job was squishing through the hand mill colander). :)

Wow, that was a first . . . A Google surprise. As I was typing it made a send off to publish!

As I was saying . . . Spring weather, frost and summer heat made its mark on the Michigan apples. Hopefully the season will turn out better than the early predictions.

How do you get the red/orange in your sauce? Looks delicious!

The apple orchards in Illinois have practically no apples this year. Your apples really look good.
