For the Land Lubbers

Are you a vacationer or a traveler?

Do you stick with the familiar...the safe...the known?

Or are you willing to explore,

to observe,

to go off the beaten path to find the authentic

to discover gems off the main roads,

and moments of beautiful simplicity?

You can guess what we are.

I have just been having a catch up - what an intrepid break you have been on.
I am a bit of a vacationer really but have been off the beaten track in both Fiji and Japan and yes, it's amazing what you see. The real thing :)

i have a sense of adventure, when i am in new jersey. when we vacation, we usually travel to places we are familiar with, places we have enjoyed before, then we know it will be awesome. we have been traveling less (out of state) and i would like to change that. we have been talking about going someplace warm but i kinda' like winter!!!!!

awesome captures, the road less traveled provided some nice images!!!

Off the beaten track . . . that's what you are . . .
The best part of travel is discovering something no one else has thought to discover . . .
At least for me . . .
(Thank you for your sweet Great Grand comment . . .)

We tend to wander around all over, instead of sticking to the tourist parts of a place. I really enjoyed these photos.

I meant to say I so love the pink house/condo whatever it is.....LOVE it, just simply love it.

For me it all depends on the situation. Sometimes I like to explore but I have my limits. Can't say I'd cross that bridge in the first photo (I'm afraid of heights). Loved seeing the different fences here and that pink house was quite something. I've always wanted to sail on one of those ships with all the masts.

I'm off the beaten track with you! So much hidden away & you've certainly discovered lots of gems!
