Tuesday Nights

One of the highlights of the week is my Tuesday night knitting group. I love these ladies. They are inspiring and creative and just fun to be around. Just like the harvest helpers at SL Farm, they hail from a diverse set backgrounds and social commitments and ideals which is precisely what makes the group so much fun. We range in age from the 20's to the 70's and have so much to learn from each other. And not just about knitting. Alway respectful and always helpful, I could not imagine a Tuesday without them  for any great length of time.

Plus...it's just a great time to get a few rows done so that I have something to show for Work-in-Progress Wednesdays.
Embossed Champagne is coming along thanks to the stolen moments I work on them. I just love a project small enough to keep in the purse to have handy to work a few stitches at the oddest of times

Allegheny is growing nicely. The try on trip to the west coast was quite successful. (in so many ways!) Now just to get it to dress lenghth...

The cable on Allegheny is looking fantastic :) I love the pattern, but my that seems like a lot of knitting!

I love the socks! There is nothing better than a project that fills those tiny bits of otherwise wasted time.

Aren't knit groups the best pick me up? I have a Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning group. We have so much fun we can't get it all in with one gathering! Or maybe it's just an excuse for dinner and lunch out each week.

Your experience is encouraging me to find a knit group. I'd love some hands on learning with the pros.

Your projects look great but I think I love the socks best of the two. They're really beautiful.

The socks look fantastic - very pretty little pattern. Knitting groups are the best. Aside from all the interesting tips you pick up and the social aspect I just love to watch the different way people knit. No two people seem to hold their needles or work the yarn the same. xx

Glad you have such a great time with your knitting group. It makes me want to find one of my own. The only ones I know about are at the LYS, but I buy almost all my yarn online, so I'm not sure if its polite to go with yarn that I didn't purchase there. Being very shy doesn't help either!

Love the stitch pattern on your socks - just gorgeous!

Both projects are coming along beautifully. You have such great taste in colors.

I look forward to my Sunday knitting socials. It is so much fun to be with people who love yarn and knitting as much as I do. Most of the time, we are so busy laughing and talking, there isn't much knitting accomplished.
