Finding My Mojo

Somewhere between 2 moves, renovating a farm house, a new grandson, lots of company and seeing my Luvs off to CA, I lost my knitting mojo. For the past 7-8 months it seems like every project was was a disaster, riddled with mistakes, ill fitting or just abandoned out of frustration.  One night at knitting group, me, a knitter for over 40 years couldn't get a long tail cast on right. In front of 20 women. Sad.
I even tried knitting a pair of socks from a pattern called "Mojo" in hopes that my knitting grove would magically return. Let's just say they will never be worn in public.
I don't know how or when it happened, but I think its back. Perhaps joining Work-in Progress-Wednesdays  is what did it. All the lovely comments from last week has inspired me. I have been a knitting fool over the past week.
My Lollipop socks are whizzing on the needles.

Estonian Garden Lace Shawl by Evelyn Clark is turning out so beautiful.

Using beads instead of nupps is adding such a wonderful elegance to the project. The yarn, Fiddlesticks Lace, is super fine, but a joy to work with.

Next up it a very exciting project for my daughter, who despite having just given birth to her second child has the figure to wear Allegheny.

So Good to be back!

Yay, glad the mojo is returning for you :) Loving the socks, and that shawl is beautiful, the beads really make it extra special. That dress pattern is gorgeous, and you've picked my favourite Shelter colourway to make it!

Wow, I'd say your knitting mojo is back! Cute socks, love how they are stripping. Gosh, I don't have any kids and I still don't have a figure for that dress.

The socks look awesome! Will need to pick up some of that colorway. I'm imagining it with a ripple now. :)

I like the beads in your shawl, too. One of the shawls I'm working on right now has nupps AND beads, so I'm not just replacing the nupps. Thankfully I only had two rows of the little buggers.

I guess we all loose the mojo now and then...
Love the fun colours on the socks :) And your shawl is beautiful! You have a lucky daughter still having the figure to wear Allegheny. It's a beautiful dress!

Your shawl is beautiful. I love Allegheny, but don't care for the turtleneck. Looking forward to watching your progress.

Wow, that's a pile of ambitious projects for someone whose knitting mojo has been missing. I think estonian lace confirms that it's returned. Gorgeous stuff! I'm looking forward to seeing how the dress works up.

Everyone has phases when they don't knit or craft and eventually you come back to it, when the time is right. It seems like you have come back with a vengeance. I particularly love that shawl.

HOORAY for the return of the MOJO! (Which happens to be my dogs name!)

The Lollipop socks (LOVE the name) are fabulous. Can't believe you lost your groove.

How about all that lace, it's stunning.

I am dead jealous that your daughter could wear that after baby two. Mine youngest is 6 and I am still trying to get mine back.
