Eleven days of Wet Gloomy Cloudy Grey weather.

The next pair are being swatched...not something I usually do for socks, but these are to be super thick knee hi's for wearing with boots at The Farm, so I want to be sure on the fit with the thicker wool. (Three Irish Girls DK)
This little ruffly scarf worked up really quick and was so fun to knit.
...Kate's Dress.
Its coming along and growing nicely each day.

There will be a faux belt at the waist front with a large decorative button that I plan to scour antique and thrift stores for. What do you think....wooden, metal or sparkly?
AND...I have been practicing "knitting" with Marzipan inspired by this. Friends from my knitting group are coming to The Farm this weekend for a little front porch yarn social. Edible knitwear should be lots of fun.

OMG--that Marzipan is so FUN!!! (And your knitting quite amazing as well...) Have fun at your knitting party--great fall idea.
Everything looks great! It would seem that the wet weather is good for your crafting:)
Those marzipan knitting things are SO cute! Marzipan is a big thing in Europe and you can buy pink, white, green or red rolls at the store fairly inexpensively. I am going to have to try those!
LOVE the dress. My goodness, you're a lightening knitter! I am not. I feel more like the tortoise, trudging along slowly but cranking stuff out nonetheless. :) Such a wonderful post! You've warmed my heart today. Watch for me this weekend - maybe I'll come barreling down the road to sit on your front porch for a spell! :)
Wow, look how much progress you've made on that dress! Love the ruffle scarf, and the purple shawl too :)
I'll take a puffy scarf. And sparkly, duh.
The dress is gorgeous. I think a metal button would look best. :)
Metal button for the dress, please! It's going to be stunning.
And if you do the marzipan thing, please please post pictures! So cute!
wow Joan you have been busy.
I vote for metal on the dress - which is lovely. Socks look great and I love the yarn for the next pair. Scarf not my kind of thing I'm afraid. But the marizpan, love it
LOVE that dress! I have a gray sweater dress and I use a big black cloth cinch belt with a metal buckle as the accent.
I don't know about sparkly, but both wooden or metal would work for the front button.
Oh, my goodness, you have so much going on!!! Everything looks wonderful. Seems the weather may be helping your craftiness? ;)
Sure wish we had that weather here. . .
Wow you've been busy. I love that ruffly scarf. What is the pattern for that and could it be suitable for a beginner?
The dress is fabulous I love knit dresses.
So many beautiful projects all in one post ... Wow!
Fantastic projects and beautiful yarns. Knitting groups are super fun, especially with tasty treats
Found you through Allison's blog

I am just starting off and finding it hard to do a tea cosy!!
