My youngest son's college lacrosse team traveled four hours to DC yesterday for a game.
It's usually us making the trip to where ever he is playing, so it was nice to have a 'home' contest.

The boys are always hungry after playing, so it is tradition for the parents to provide a post game tailgate.

My contribution was a fruit salad.

The watermelon was from Mexico, the grapes from Chile and the oranges came out of a can from China. The wonders of a global economy and modern transportation? Or something terribly wrong?

~~~
The Hornets won and my boy was duly happy.
 But the best prize for me was having all my sons together.
can't say I approve of the tinned oranges would rather leave those out, but its very hard to make a fruit salad at this time of year with locally sourced fruit. Looks yummy though
