Our local ordinances dictate that days old chicks must be purchased in groups of 5.
So being the novice to this farming life that I am, I decided to get 10 baby chicks figuring that I would lose a few or 5 or 8 before they reached hen status.
I still have ten.
All ten.
That have reached hen status.
As in laying an egg a day.
I foresee a great many of these in my future.
The beautiful tomatoes are from my garden. Soon the bacon will be from the backyard too. |
So please.
Sent me your I-have-way-too-many-eggs-on-hand ideas.
I will be out in the coop collecting more.

i'm laughing, but since i don't really eggs, i have nothing to offer you!
Fresh eggs! How wonderful!! Wish I could stop buy and buy a few!
I'm not an egg person either, but for those who are, fresh off the farm is great. Can you have an honesty box at your gate and sell the surplus??

oh joan, what a dilemia you have girl!!
one awesome egg "dish" i make is deviled eggs with bacon. that's a two-fer. there is no recipe, mayo a dash of brown mustard and tiny crumbles of bacon, in the mix and again on top. they are really good. i love egg salad as well and i always put hard cooked eggs with my salad. if you are on pinterest, you can searh for egg recipes or even google it.
your tomatoes look AWESOME mine did not do well!!
i never get an email notification when you comment on my blog, i wonder why. i use my email notifications primarily to see who is visiting and noticed a month or so back that i don't get an email when you comment. i will add you to my "must read" reading list!!!!
