It's no secret at all how much I love the View from the front of my home...
...But what lurks down Redmond Store Road and into those hills is quite a sight.
For instance, a blue barn. Yes, Blue.
Old stately homes,
and a startling reminder of a way of life once lived here in Virginia.
And of course, Redmond store.

the blue is a bit bright. some of those structures have a lot of history.
You don't see many blue barns. The view from the front of your house is gorgeous.
I want to come and visit! It's beautiful there. I've never seen a barn that blue. :)
I love where I live but I wish I had your view - breathtaking!
Blue is quite a different color for a barn but I like it. :)
Lovely homes!
Oh, you live in the most gorgeous area! I would love to see this view every morning!! I'd never get anything done!! I'd be taking pictures all the time!!
Lovely view and drive down the road. The blue on that barn is an unusual color for a barn but is really quite attractive.
Poor old Redmond Store! My goodness!
The homes sure are gorgeous... how old are they? do you know? can you imagine living there when they wore those beautiful long dresses & walking the grounds... those were the days! =)
The barn is a hoot all decked out in bright blue, but that view tops it all! MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS! WoW!

That barn is really blue! Not a common barn colour. I love the old homes and the old store in your community. Great post!

What a view. I've never been to Virginia and it's on my list now. xo Jenny
That's quite a variety when studied individually, but from your porch it all looks idyllic.
I can see why you love the view from your place--perfect country. With some individuals who don't think that barns necessarily need to be red! Thanks for the rural tour of your neighborhood.
I am blessed to experience the cyber tour of rural America via your blog this week.
