We left western Pennsylvania heading home to Virginia's Shenandoah Valley by way of Maryland and West Virginia.

I on the back of the Harley snapping drive-by photos of barns

and the emerging Autumn scenery.

Fritz arguing with the GPS lady

 who wanted us to do this

instead of this.

{Fritz won}

We are back on the farm safe, but perhaps not so sound in a few folks minds.

1280 miles complete.

I can't wait to do it again.

That's a bunch of miles on the back of a motorcycle, but I sure wouldn't mind trying it at least once... what an experience!

Beautiful scenery, for sure, & lovin the barns & fall colors!

I'm also lovin the Happy Barn Charmiversary... I'm just not creative enough to think of something like that! Kudos to you & thanks so much for joining =)

Lovely barn collage and spectacular scenery! I take a lot of drive-by shots, but I would think from the back of a Harley it would be a little more challenging, although no windows or posts to get in the way. That GPS lady knows nothing--Fritz was absolutely right! We always choose the backroads if we are given a choice.

Congratulations -- that's not as easy as it sounds. I know from experience.

Gorgeous images -- what a great time of year to make this trip.
